EGX 30 rises 0.58% to close at 56,500.74 points

The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4,426 trillion, up from EGP 4,424 trillion at the previous close, a gain of approximately EGP 2 billion.

Egypt’s benchmark EGX 30 index gained 0.58% to close Wednesday’s trading session at 56,500.74 points.


Meanwhile, the EGX 70 index, which tracks small and mid-cap stocks, declined 0.31% to 21,334.92 points, while the broader EGX 100 index fell 0.23% to 27,950.35 points. The Sharia Index also lost 0.23% to 27,950.35 points.

The exchange’s total market capitalization stood at around EGP 4,426 trillion, up from EGP 4,424 trillion at the previous close, a gain of approximately EGP 2 billion.

Trading value reached EGP 12,5 billion, with 2,79 billion securities traded across 278,099 transactions.

Egyptian investors recorded a net buy position of EGP 56.2 million in equities, and Arab investors posted a net buy position of EGP 1.2 million. Foreign investors recorded a net sell position of EGP 57.4 million.

Top Gainers

KORRA jumped 20%, closing at EGP 6.90 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 5.75.

Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. rose 7.35% to close at EGP 8.72 per share, up from an opening price of EGP 7.27.

Nasr Company for Civil Works gained 6.15%, ending the session at EGP 7.13 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 6.32.

The United Bank shares increased 5.67%, closing at EGP 16.18 per share, versus an opening price of EGP 14.96.

Osool ESB Securities Brokerage climbed 5.19% to close at EGP 2.24 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 2.10.

Top Decliners

Grand Investment Capital dropped 10.19%, closing at EGP 74.54 per share, down from an opening price of EGP 81.60.

Cairo Educational Services declined 10.02% to close at EGP 125.86 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 136.82.

Aspire Capital Holding For Financial Investments fell 8.28%, ending the session at EGP 0.43 per share, down from EGP 0.46.

Egyptian Financial & Industrial shares decreased 6.64%, closing at EGP 211.11 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 225.

El Ahram Co. For Printing And Packing declined 5.38%, closing at EGP 9.78 per share, compared with an opening price of EGP 10.29.
